japalicious, drunktastic
tif's party on friday was a huge success. after much planing and many changes the night had came and we weren't sure how it would turn out. it all went well with some minor hitches towards the end of the night... but overall it was drunktastic.
Tif's "last minute" efforts. I'd say they were pretty damn good efforts. We all were pretty impressed. But this wasn't the last of the surprises.
shots before dinner? sure, why not?
everyone received personalized pillows and gift buckets filled with japa-licious candy.
all the guys and kel (cuz she has an enormous member) got pocky for men. yup, that's right for men. here you are all this time thinking that pocky wouldn't discriminate.
only party animals take shots of hater-ade... gatorade...!
...because posing with japanese candy is cool.
the next sequence of pictures are pretty interesting...
so there innocent alkie scott was sitting there with kel playing their game
this dude comes over and tries to egg scott on to drink straight from the jack bottle to get him drunk.
according to jev, and now i'm pretty convinced too, he was doing it for kicks to see scott yak since he seemed to look like a lightweight
scott: "hah!? another one!?"
but scott went toe to toe and drank shot for shot with this dude who only had a beer and scott had over 5 shots under his belt before this guy came around, cuz that's how we do!
this guy also tried to hit on ber.
not much to comment here. it was just a funny picture. but she is laying next to tasty melon balled fruit salad/mochi desserts tif handed out. mmmm...
ber didn't get the concept of tallying the number of shots she took.

towards the end of the night scott's eyes were chinkier than night time bear's eyes. needless to say he didn't remember walking into his house.

except for that mishap earlier with scott... and then with the same guy but with jev outside when we were leaving it was a fun night. same old story with jev getting in the mix and me not there to back him up because i was oblivious to what was going down. ah fun times reliving jr high days.
but all in all it was a funtastic krew and oc girls joint venture.

it's as japanese as apple pie candy
the other night at lollicup, kel let my try some so very very yummy delicious tasty candy. (she's my pusher) it was from a japanese supermarket in j-town. the weird thing was it was an apple pie flavor. i know it sounds weird, but it works, and it's "g-double o-d, good". the japanese always have the coolest flavors.
she also gave me a crème brûlée, but otto came in with the winning scent of beer and cigarettes as we were playing cards and asked if he could have another. how could i say no to that?
last night kel was nice enough to let me try the grape flavored candy, and i must say it's much better than hi-chew.
the design of the wrapper is so cool too. it sure does make me want to eat them. props to the design department.
this is the apple pie one... i don't know why his hand is on fire though. maybe it's because the candy was so good he had to light his hand on fire jev-style with zippo ligther fluid to see whether or not he was dreaming.
this is the company logo. good choice for a logo for any company because the character looks as though it's saying "what? i didn't do it, it's not my fault."

big boy toys
sony ericson is offering this limited edition jay chou doll when you buy their phone. i think it's only available in china. but it's a cool vinyl toy.
i scooped the picture from http://toysrevil.blogspot.com/ (yes toys are evil and they can get expensive)
they also offer a zhou xun, but it doesn't look at kick ass as the jay chou toy.
the toy was designed by eric so. you may remember him designing a edison chen vinyl toy way back.
...speaking of toys here are some quick hits b/c i'm too lazy to write the description with a creative literary spin on it.
he is called self defense bear. it may look big, purple, and cute, but he has a "don't fuck with this guy" kinda look. nice blend of cuteness and dangerous, like sweet and sour sauce, doesn't sound good but it works.
he's from the runaway brain movie that was put out by disney. hard to believe disney would risk their company icon but they got him looking like he's trippin balls on acid. this even has time salivating, or foamy, depending if has rabies. a very nice detail. they also come in neon for that psychedelic feel and one with black and white for the nostalgic.
this is for ber. this guy is called smery tofu. he can't even stand the smell of himself. there's an entire line of tofu guys out but i wasn't really feelin them, but i like this one.
for all you who remember here's Franken Berry, Count Chocula, and Boo Berry. nothing like old school, teeth melting, cereal coated sugar. mmm...
last but not least, he's from the brockmann light series 2. that's who i aspire to be. a grown man in a polar bear costume drinking beer out of a mug that has beer written on it.
that's enough toys for today. i've spent waaaaaaay too much time online browsing. i should really pace myself.
