intes... tine

whoooooooooooooooooooo great weekend with the homies

dinner at mortons friday night - pretty good food with some after dinner discussion on politics and intes... tine.

then it was to bonaventure for bonavista.
it just doesn't seem all that great anymore. its lost novelty.
but it was cindy's first time, so it was fun.

LA county fair last night - it was a fun night but for some reason it didn't seem as fun as the OC fair.

85 degrees celsius afterwards. pretty interesting teapots and the tea inside them weren't that bad either.

somehow the talk of intes...tines came up again.
then the system of taped recording of crickets and the tossing of tumbleweed was devised for such incidents.

white powder

my bi-polar bear is enjoying coke.
i'm not really sure how to react.
i guess when you're surrounded by that white powder it's bound to happen.

there are endless possibilities for lohan jokes here... but i'm tired of hearing about her.

plush lab-bit

i saw this on toysrevil.blogspot.com and was just drawn to post it myself share it with you guys.

this is a cool plush, no doubt. but did they really have to add this feature? i don't know what it's really for.

maybe it's for what shown in the photo - to warm that finger. but i'm sure jevon would be more than happy to give anyone who asks suggestions on what the hole can be used for.

autumn is coming.

gifts from hk

ber has been back from hk for a while now soooo... i'm a bit late for posting these up. she was nice enough get me these kick ass souvenirs. thanks ber.

this is a qee from the hong kong designer series. oooooOOOOOOOOOooooo i think i'm gonna start collecting this series.

this is a cell phone charm from the to-fu oyako collection. a tofu with a pirate eye patch? you know he did some bad shit. now if only i had a cell phone that has a slot for charms.

the last but not least is this thing. i'm not sure what it is, but this is the my favorite one out of the bunch.
it just sits there on a key, chillin', but it's so damn cool for some reason.
maybe it's because of his relaxed peaceful posture
or maybe it's the inviting open hand, palm skyward, as though saying, "give me five!"

another day at the library.

earlier today at work a woman comes up to the front desk to check out books. she placed her books down on the counter and informs me that she was referred by someone at our department to go to the reference desk when she asked for help in locating a book, and how that wasn't very helpful.

so i explain to her that we're only the circulation department and the reference librarians at the reference desk can better help them in their search than us clerks.

that wasn't the response she was looking for. she thens gives me her pompous opinion, saying, "i would think it would be better if you just try to be more helpful."

so then i go on to explain how i can't leave the circulation desk to help her look for her book, but she stops me in mid sentence to tell me condescendingly, "no, you don't have to explain yourself."

so at that point i knew she wasn't going to listen to reason and there wasn't any point in trying to explain or defend myself, my department and the library. she just wants to give her opinion and tell me that we're wrong and she's right.

did she want me to be helpful and be her personal librarian, go into the library, and get her book while the line at the circulation desk to check out books grow? how is that helpful for the other patrons?

it's not like we were giving her the run around. the reference desk is situated near the shelves for a reason, she would have to pass by the reference desk anyway to get to the books.

maybe she's the type that goes to the market and ask the cashier to do the work of a butcher and cut up some pork chops for her.

151+jack+remy

another night of drinking with the guys and scott getting dry humped by casper.

this was otto pissing in the streets between the two cars when my house was less than 20 yards away.
why? cuz that's just otto.
jev felt the urge to do so as well.
why? cuz that's just jev.
but i didn't get a chance to capture jev's glorious moment when he pissed over otto's territory marking.
side note: while this was all happening casper was in the backyard stealing a piece of chicken drumstick from the table.

taking shots of remy martin cognac with the veteran alcoholic.

flaming pants

a lady in her 40s comes up to me wanting to check out some books. so i scan her card and this msg pops up: VERIFY CARD USER PLEASE: PATRON'S DAUGHTER (IN HER 50'S) HAS HER LIBRARY CARD.

so i ask if it's her card, and she smiles and replies yes.
i then ask her to verify her birthday.

she smiles at me and tells me that it's not her card, it's her mother's.
i then ask her if her mother is here with her.

she smiles at me and answers that yes she is.
i then proceed to ask for her to ask her mother to come to the desk.

she smiles at me and tells me her mother is actually not really at the library.

she lied to me 3 times. with a smile.
and no i didn't checkout her books.

high school all over again.

back to the 5 buck hair cut.

mr. bracketFace

i was working at the library the other day and saw this staring back at me.
it's a book drop bin that's broken and what's showing is the part of the springs and the bracket that's supposed to be on some tracks.

hello mr. bracketFace.

see that expression on his face?
he sees first hand what it's like to work at the library,
and he's scared shitless.

i bought a pair of tigers.

i bought the last pair of size 12 onitsuka tigers on zappos.
it was kinda an impulse buy; the best kinds of purchases. sometimes.
but i'm honestly happy with this buy. plus they came with free one day shipping.

and they did arrive the next day, of course when no one was home. so the ups guy left their "missed you" post-it on the door. under the next delivery attempt he checked the next day, and under time he checked 2 pm and he also checked after 5.

now i've seen these ups guys driving up down my street as late as 8 pm... so did he really expect me to be at home from 2-8 pm for the package?
in the end i just signed for it to be left at the door.

and here's another one

from the signature bi-polar collection.

seriously guys, i just thought these were funny. smiley face.

100th post

yes, this is the 100th post.
it's roughly around 140 days since that day on 04/24/07 when i decided to start this blog. so i'm averaging around one post every 1.4 days.

yes, the century mark is a milestone but i don't really know how to feel about it. i just try to make simple, quality posts (i typed that after taking a swig from a heineken bottle, which i admit may seem contradictory, but i must contest it has no effect on the integrity of my posts. honest. *chug*) and try to stay away from the droning log entry posts.

i have no idea who subscribes or how many people read, but i thank you guys for reading, and i hope to see you guys here at the 200th post. here's to you guys *chug*.

and with that out of the way, i now present to you our regularly scheduled programing, uncut, unfiltered, and smooth as ever.

meet haben. haben like "my name would 'haben' a lot cooler if i wasn't named after, not the waiter at ruth's chris, not the assistant waiter, but the assistant to the waiter at ruth's chris."

the hawaiian shirt hides his weight, and tells everyone that he's a party animal. he's the life of the party. no one could keep their eyes off them on the table at dinner. even the waiter felt obliged to the get him a bowl of water to float on.

"he ain't got no motorboat but he'll float your boat."
hell, he'll even keep you company in the shower.
oh rubber ducky, you're the only one.

killer head boppin' music

sooooo it was probably earlier in the summer when i first heard amy winehouse's "rehab" song, the one with jay-z spittin' at the end. at first i thought it was an old school song he remixed, but i was surprised to learn it was a new song.

that was my first introduction to amy winehouse. now i don't know all that stories about her, how she is like as a person, and what her tenancies are, i try not to pay attention to the tabloids and "entertainment news" (if you can call it that) but she has a refreshing style. what she does doesn't change the fact it's good music.

she has an old school 50s jazzy big band sound, but with hip hop beats. this is me, but i like the music, style, and fashion from that era. And if you add on some fresh beats, it's killer head boppin' music.

i think i might actually go out and buy her cd.

A Love From Outer Space

Searching all my days just to find you
I'm not sure who I'm looking for
I'll know it
When I see you
Until then, I'll hide in my bedroom
Staying up all night just to write

A love song for no one

I could have met you in a sandbox

I could have passed you on the sidewalk

Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?

when are you going to come rescue me?

legoTastic

i decided to put this together today.
