Hiking - Part Deux

So a week after we took the wrong trail (04.16.07) we headed back...with vengeance, ready to kick the trail's ass.

The beginning of the trail seemed promising enough since we actually found the right path.

Off we go...
This time the scenery seemed more green and the path more like a real path.

First sign of water. Something we didn't see the last time.
Scott was examining the water searching for tadpoles that weren't there.

Scott conquering again.

Aw... they look like they're holding hands.

Scott: "Why are taking pictures of us, do you want me to take one with you in it?"

Lets take a picture of Michael with our imaginary cameras...click...

There was an ominous looking basket on the path. Why it was there or how it got there I don't know.

At this point we could hear the waterfall which was a good sign.

Group photo...

It was a good photo op

Heading back...

So this hike was twice as long as the one we took at Monrovia with it being 3 miles round trip, but it was definitely worth it. This waterfall was bigger than the last one, and compared to our last failed hike it was more enjoyable. We actually saw people along the way.

At the beginning of the hike we kept seeing kids coming back, and for a while there was a lady walking her dog behind us, talking on her cell phone. According to Scott she was not "getting the full experience"

We also came cross Vietnamese kids hiking ahead of us. The girls had on flipflops and we were kinda worried us since we had to climb and hop rocks. I'm guessing they didn't plan on the hike. They took the wrong path walking up the bridge instead of under it and we passed them. We were at the waterfall for a while and didn't see them, but we saw them again as we were heading back and it was already getting dark. I was considering taking a photo of them just in case they turn up missing.
