weekend fun

there's a lot to say and cover so let's just get into it. the weekend started with jazz at steamers. we've never been so jev, ber, john, and me packed into jane's car and headed down to fullerton. steamers is definitely a place i recommend someone check out at least once, even if live jazz isn't your thing. their food is mediocre so i suggest eating somewhere else before heading over to steamers. their drinks were pretty cheap and strong at $7.00 for a top shelf drink. after the show we went bar hopping... which didn't turn out too well, lets just say the crowd wasn't within our age group. there isn't any photographic documentation for that night, i'm still trying to figure out how my bb.

the next night started with dinner at houstons at pasadena. here's another place i've never been prior and recommend. their service very personal and not in a fake insincere way. even though their parking lot isn't particularly huge they have a shuttle service via golf cart. they don't have a valet service so you can save your ten bucks. the waiters and busboys actually stop and wait for you to pass by when they're in your way.

so keeping with the common theme of trying new things jane and i decided to try some couscous for an appetizer. we've never had it and had no idea what it was... so after trying it lets just say we won't be ordering that again anytime soon.

the prime rib was pretty damn good though, and adequately priced. the fillet mignon jane ordered was delicious. you can really taste the applewood used in the barbecue grilling process.

jev called us up for drinks so we left without dessert but the food was really good.

as we walked out of the restaurant we saw their koi pond with huge koi fish. they swam up with mouths open waiting for food at the sight of us.

so the night really started at k-town at bohemian, "L.A.'s hottest happening spot"

and they look forward to serving you.

it's a pretty nice bar. i was drunk so i don't remember how expensive it was. but i do remember how cute the waitresses were in their costumes. their peach, strawberry, mango, and yogurt soju were pretty tasty, and it got me drunk so win-win there.

i don't remember what time we left bohemian, but i do remember jevon having that look of a guy who had had enough. the night seemed like it was ending, but i've recently come to realize scott and steven only get more hyper as the drink. so that explains why we walked across the street to go karaoke-ing.

yeah... so we left a hour later

i don't remember what time we left, but here's one last pic to wrap up that night.
good friends. good soju. good times.

oh and since my mom is going on vacation next weekend we had mother's day dinner sunday night. mmmm korean tofu. no pics for that either cuz my battery was dead, but take my word for it, it was yummy.
that's it.

oh and iron man rocked!
